How to cancel Amazon (orders / Prime) (and get a refund)
If it's a recurring Amazon charge, it's almost always Prime — cancel it from the Prime membership page.

- Go to amazon.com > Account > Prime Membership (or open amazon.com/prime)
- Select 'Manage Membership' > 'Update, Cancel and More', then 'End Membership'
- Follow the prompts to confirm — Amazon offers a full refund if you haven't used Prime benefits this period
- For other Amazon subscriptions (Subscribe & Save, channels), use 'Memberships & Subscriptions'
⚠️ The app-store trap
If you signed up for Prime through the Google Play or Apple app, cancel it in that store's subscriptions instead — Amazon can't cancel a store-billed membership.
Can you get a refund?
A paid Prime member who hasn't used the benefits can get a full refund of the current period; partial-use refunds are prorated. Amazon typically processes it in a few business days.
Easy-to-miss gotchas
- A one-off store order isn't a subscription — cancel or return it from Your Orders instead
- Prime Video add-on channels (Paramount+, etc.) are cancelled separately and continue after Prime ends
